General Warranty Terms
of the TICAB Company
Warranty Terms
The condition for recognizing warranty claims under the following terms is that the use and installation of the products have been carried out in accordance with TICAB’s current general instructions for use and installation, as well as recommendations or directives from TICAB or according to a project approved by TICAB. Warranty service is provided upon presentation of a correctly completed warranty card of the established model. Otherwise, any claims are excluded.
TICAB’s Warranty Obligations
During the warranty period, TICAB undertakes to repair or replace defective components in the supplied product, which, despite proper handling (with documented evidence) and compliance with current installation and operational instructions (including certificates and permits for work), has become wholly or largely unsuitable for use due to defects in original materials or improper manufacturing.
The warranty obligations include the replacement of spare parts and assemblies with a limited warranty period, excluding the cost of disassembly work and transportation costs.
TICAB undertakes to provide service as promptly as possible – either directly or through its authorized representative. The client is informed of the estimated repair time before the repair begins. Replaced unusable parts and components are not returned to the client. Any claims made on any legal grounds against TICAB or its authorized representatives (authorized installers) for compensation for any other damages, such as repair costs, disassembly and reinstallation costs, transportation costs, damages caused to third parties, and materials that are not part of the defective product, are excluded. Modifications made by TICAB to the design or execution of products of a particular model, which were introduced after the order was received and which apply to all equipment of this model delivered (resulting in formal non-compliance of the delivered product with the ordered one), also do not entitle one to warranty claims.
The warranty obligations cover all components included in the delivery package, whose identification number is indicated in the PRODUCT PASSPORT for the respective product, as well as all components listed in the "Additional Components" column of this warranty card. For quickly wearing parts and assemblies (such as glow plugs, incandescent lamps, thermal fuses or fuse inserts, brushes, fuel pumps, fuel filters, drying filters), the warranty does not cover natural wear, as well as damage caused by improper handling, including the use of fuel that does not meet DSTU standards.
Exclusions from Warranty
Warranty obligations are void if the configuration of the product was altered by installing non-original parts and components or if the current installation and operational instructions were not followed. A justified warranty claim cannot be accepted if the possibility of satisfying it has been significantly limited due to improper handling or any alterations made to the product, such as the removal of certain parts and components.
Warranty obligations do not extend to products that were installed and serviced in unauthorized service centers. Products purchased outside the TICAB dealership network are also not eligible for warranty repairs. Warranty obligations are fulfilled upon presentation of a properly completed TICAB PRODUCT PASSPORT. Warranty obligations do not cover preventive work and maintenance. In the event of a lost PRODUCT PASSPORT, a duplicate is not issued.
TICAB is not responsible for any changes in the condition or operational properties of products resulting from improper storage, extreme climatic and other influences (beyond permissible ranges as indicated in the technical specifications).
The warranty does not cover defects related to design errors or the use of unsuitable materials if the client insisted on such a design or material choice despite TICAB’s objections.
Conditions or reservations regarding warranty obligations that do not correspond to TICAB's current Warranty Terms or General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Supply, regardless of by whom, when, or in what form they were established, are invalid. Warranty claims are accepted only if submitted in writing immediately upon detection, with a clearly defined demand for free defect correction. Repair or replacement of a product does not constitute grounds for extending or renewing its warranty period.
The warranty period does not apply to zero-mileage defects, so claims must be made before the product’s operation begins.
Filing a Claim
Properly processing a warranty claim according to the above provisions requires filling out a warranty card.
Claims regarding detected defects must be submitted no later than 30 days after discovering the defect.
To file a claim, you will need:
-
A completed PRODUCT PASSPORT
-
A copy of the invoice for the product and/or installation services
-
A detailed description of the issue encountered (photo, video)
WHEN CONTACTING TICAB, A FULL DIAGNOSTIC AND IDENTIFICATION OF THE CAUSES OF THE DEFECTS YOU HAVE REPORTED WILL BE CONDUCTED. THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS MAY REVEAL THE FOLLOWING:
-
In case a defect is found at zero kilometer, TICAB undertakes to replace the defective part as soon as possible. The replacement will only be carried out after the defective part is received by Ticab. Ticab will cover the transportation costs for the defective part, provided that the transportation method is pre-approved with TICAB.
-
If the diagnostic results indicate that your case falls under warranty, TICAB undertakes to repair the product as quickly as possible. When replacing spare parts and carrying out repairs, a warranty period of up to 90 days from the date of the repair work is set for the product as a whole, but not exceeding the overall warranty period. If the warranty period on the product expires earlier, the warranty is only applicable to the replaced spare parts.
-
If the diagnostic results indicate that your case does not fall under warranty (warranty period expired, installation requirements violated, operating conditions not met, etc.), a repair service and estimated cost will be offered. When repairs are performed at an authorized TICAB service center, the replaced parts and repair work are warranted for 12 months from the date of repair.
